We think it’s important for you to know why certain dollars can and can’t be used together. Follow these rules for most programs.
Programs with different funding sources can usually be stacked.
EXAMPLE:
Water Quality Initiative $30.00
Practical Farmers of Iowa $10.00
TOTAL: $40.00/acre
*As long as both are not carbon market programs
EXAMPLE:
Iowa Seed Corn Initiative $20.00
Practical Farmers of Iowa $10.00
TOTAL: $30.00/acre
Programs with the same funding source CANNOT be stacked.
EXAMPLE:
Water Quality Initiative $30.00
EQIP $5.00
TOTAL: INVALID
EXAMPLE:
Soil & Water Outcomes Fund $30.00
Carbon Program B $10.00
TOTAL: INVALID
In rare cases, state and federal dollars can be combined. Always ask before signing!
